Dear Patricia Field …

patricia_field_genius_jessica_harlow

Dear Patricia Field,

It is a rare occurrence in one’s life to come across a designer that seems to speak the language of their materialistic souls so fluently. I have always been inspired by the work you have done throughout the years on Sex and the City and even loved what you did with The Devil Wears Prada and Confessions of a Shopaholic. Your clothes always tell a story greater than the ones in the script. When I saw the Sex and the City movie in theaters I nearly jumped out of my seat when I saw “The Roger” belt! I searched high and low for anything similar and was absolutely THRILLED when I saw that you would be carrying a replica of that vintage piece. I have worn that belt countless times since I first purchased it and will not be surprised to find myself wearing it in the nursing home at 100.

I have to say that as I was browsing through your store this morning I was absolutely dazzled by the selection! So many pieces just screamed my name. Especially “The Pretty Princess” dress. The short pouffy skirt, the corset like top, the SPARKLE! It’s simply the stuff that my dreams are made of. I cannot decide between the blue or the pink. The blue is the perfect shade of blue. The pink is the perfect shade of pink. What’s a girl to do?

Oh, and don’t even get me started on the “Studs in the City” purse! Fabulous! I love anything with studs! Which leads me to the “Space Cowgirl Rhinestones & Studs” belt. *Sigh* It’s simply divine!

I could go on forever and ever.

Miss Field, my fellow Greek goddess, thank you so much for gifting us with style!

I would be forever grateful.

Love always,

Jess

hello Jessica, I am a young woman from Sweden in north europe and I just stumbeled into yourr website and I think its amazing. You motivate girls to be the queens they can be, and what I like about you is that even if your focus is on looks (make up etc) I can really feel that its JUST ONE PART of what we can work with to feel better as women.

I saw your video about selfasteem and I am very glad that you talk about that. If I may I would like to add something….

I belive that feeling good about yourself is 90% in the things you do. You may have heard that before, but I will say it again. My best friend wanted breast implants to fell better about herself and her body. She did it. But she did only that. And nothing changed, she still felt something was missing. Then she started working out, studying her hobbies etc… and suddenly she felt a lot better.

I work as a international high fashion model (in london , paris etc) and I have now got used to having a “outer self” and “inner self”. its sounds stupid I know… but I think you know what I mean. I can look faaab at work and feel so bad about myself in life when I don’t DO THINGS that I like and that makes me proud of myself.

sorry for my spelling, and a very long comment.
    big kiss

Thank you so much! I absolutely agree with feeling good about yourself is necessary 90% of the time and maybe even more. The “outer self” and “inner self” makes perfect sense to me. =)

You are an absolutely beautiful woman, Florina. Inside and out! (Yes, I googled you. Haha!)

Thanks so much for your kind words and for sharing your point of view.

    xo Jessica

oh Jessica how you inspire me (:

after reading “don’t dream it, be it” I can’t stop thinking about the possibilities.

    thanks so much for that!

oh and I would absolutely love it if you added a chat box so all of us lovely ladies (or dashing gents) can talk to one another. after all if we’re on this site we must have something in common.
